Course Description:

Critically read and interpret information from a range of infographic thus enhancing students’ contextual and global knowledge and understanding.

Extract and interpret conclusions from infographics, tables and charts;
Extend student frames of reference by considering data and information from a range of geographic locations and topics;
Create infographics that reflect important visual, content and knowledge components;
Construct graphs and tables using information they have collected, and/or analysed from alternative sources.

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Sreyneang Oun. I am a 15-year-old young girl from an economically disadvantaged family. But I dream to be a change agent for my country. There is a quote that states: “Your action leads to your passion.” Over the past six years, I have been involved in a variety of projects in which I applied my passions and interests to specific actions. I have competed in a business competition for building a software application to solve society’s problems. I have helped to write a book about the Cambodian economy to educate secondary and high school students around the country about Cambodia’s economic growth. Furthermore, I am currently working with a group of four other students (I am the only girl) to build a nanosatellite CubeSAT, which will be the first Cambodia-built spacecraft to be launched into space. As you can see, my passions have allowed me to see problems as a potential learning opportunity, and to become a change agent for my country. I know I will be the change I wish to see in this world.
